Tax reports

Your capital-gains report, worked out from your trades.

Stocka turns the buys and sells in your journal into the figures your tax return asks for, sale by sale, in files to file or hand to your accountant: a PDF and a CSV for Israel, a CSV for the US. Import from Interactive Brokers and the report is ready when tax season starts.

United States: Form 8949
A Form 8949 worksheet: every sale with its dates, proceeds and cost, short-term or long-term by how long you held the shares, and wash sales with the loss they disallow.
Israel: Forms 1325 and 1322
Each sale converted to shekels at the Bank of Israel representative rate on the day you bought and the day you sold, with the exchange rate as the index for the inflationary amount, as the form’s columns ask.
PDF and CSV
For Israel, a PDF laid out like the forms and a CSV. For the US, the Form 8949 worksheet as a CSV to copy into your return or send to your accountant.
From the trades you already have
The report reads your journal, so trades imported from Interactive Brokers, Fidelity, Schwab or any CSV are already in it, fees included.
Explained, sale by sale
Each sale says how it was taxed, so you can check it before you file.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is the tax report free?

Capital-gains tax reports are part of Stocka Pro; the yearly plan starts with a one-week free trial. Recording and importing your trades is free.

Does Stocka file my tax return?

No. Stocka works out the figures and gives you the files: a PDF and a CSV for Israel, a CSV for the US. You or your accountant file the return. Stocka is not a tax adviser.

Which exchange rate does the Israeli report use?

The Bank of Israel representative rate (שער יציג) on the day of the purchase and on the day of the sale.

Does the US report handle wash sales?

Yes. A loss on shares bought again within 30 days before or after the sale is marked as a wash sale, and the disallowed loss moves to the new shares’ cost.

Can I use trades from Interactive Brokers?

Yes. Import an Activity Statement or a Flex Query, or sync IBKR with Stocka Pro, and the report uses those trades.
